Guys, tahun 2009 ini, komputer kita diserbu ama virus ganas yang baru, conficker (termasuk laptop gw juga kena ni virus grrrr!!). Nah gara – gara virus ini termasuk dalama kategori High-Risk, para vendor antiviruspun mulai membuat antidotnya. Ternyata hal ini dimanfaatkan oleh spammer untuk menawarkan teknologi software antivirus terbaru "Antivirus 2009" yang diklaim mampu melindungi pengguna dari ancaman Conficker.
Beberapa dari pesan spam ini bahkan menggunakan nama dan gambar software yang menyerupai Norton Antivirus 2009.
Tanggal 1 April kemarin (ya.. pas april mop) diantisipasi sebagai puncak penyebaran worm conficker. Dan beneran, ternyata pihak Norton Antivirus menemukan contoh spam yang digunakan untuk mencoba memanfaatkan gebyar penyakit Conficker dengan cara menawarkan antivirus yang “dianggap” dapat mengatasi segala gangguan bahkan meremove worm tersebut.
Bahkan ni guys lebih gilanya, pesan yang dikirim spammer tersebut menyebut-nyebut nama salah seorang karyawan Symantec. Jadi biar usahanya berhasil, spammer tersebut juga membuat situs yang mirip dengan Norton, supaya para user menjadi yakin.
Cara kerja situs palsu tersbut dengan menggunakan nama Antivirus 2009 dan membandingkan dirinya dengan solusi antivirus lainnya (Spybot, Kaspersky dan AVG).
Jika user menklik link yang ada disitus tersebut, pengguna akan menemukan bahwa link tersebut langsung mengarah ke situs yang mengarahkan pengguna tentang cara melakukan pembayaran. Hingga berita ini diturunkan belum diketahui secara jelas apakah produk tersebut akan serius tersedia setelah dilakukan pembayaran. Namun, apabila benar produk tersebut tersedia, efektivitasnya pasti akan dipertanyakan karena kemungkinan besar itu merupakan aplikasi jahat atau software bajakan. GRRRR
